 III)CONCESSIONS IN SEWER AND WATER CONNECTION CHARGES FOR THE ECONOMICALLY WEAKER SECTION (E.W.S)

1)

Objective

:

Inorder to encourage the Economically Weaker Section of the people to get the sewer and water connections at concessional rate of sewer and water connection charges.

2)

Eligibility to Avail

a) Sewer Connection

:

i) The building should be exclusively used only for domestic purposes. ii) The building should be with built-up area upto 500 Sq.Ft. (46.47 Sq.M). iii) This concession will be extended only for the connection with one water closet. iv) For address proof, copy of ration card to be enclosed along with the application.
b) Water Connection

:

 i) The buildings should be exclusively used only for domestic purposes. ii) The building should be with built-up area upto 500 Sq. Ft. (46.47 Sq. M.) iii) Applicant can avail this facility only after availing sewer connection, wherever sewer main is available. iv) This concession will be extended only for the connection with hand pump only. v) Letter seeking assessment to Revenue Department of Corporation of Chennai to levy Property Tax and to Finance Department of CMWSSB to levy Water & Sewerage Tax.

Connection Charges

:
  1. For Sewer -  Rs. 100/- per connection.

  2. For Water - Rs. 100/- per connection.
